My philosophy is based on 21st century skills and preparing students for today’s international workforce in which the vast majority of careers require an understanding of computer science. By teaching students how computing tools can be used to help solve problems, communicate with others and access and organize information, we provide them with the tools to be productive and competitive in today’s fast-changing world. As teachers, we can nurture our students’ interests, passions and sense of engagement with the world around them by offering opportunities for solving computational problems relevant to their own life experiences.
I plan my lessons in accordance with the ISTE-S standards and performance indicators for students.
